Bhopal Madhya Pradesh government has come on the backfoot regarding the deployment of women officers and employees in liquor shops. The Excise Department has decided that now only male employees will be employed in liquor shops. In this also, the services of employees of polytechnics etc. will not be taken.

Explain that the Congress had warned against the movement protesting the deployment of women officers and employees at liquor shops. After the contractors refused to operate liquor shops in the state, the Excise Department has opened shops with its officers and employees. For this, services of home guards along with departmental officers have been taken.

The supervisor’s work was assigned to the female officers. On this, social organizations ranging from former Chief Minister Kamal Nath, former minister PC Sharma, raised objections and questioned the government’s policy. Meanwhile, an employee of the polytechnic was posted in a shop in Sagar. In view of the complaints and protests from place to place, the government has made a new system.



Excise Commissioner Rajeev Chand Dubey has written a letter to all collectors to direct only male employees as salesmen and watchmen in the event of departmental operations of domestic and foreign liquor shops. In this also, the services of the employee obtained from Excise Department, Home Guard or Outsource Agency should be taken.
