Work from Home ends Now biometric attendance has started in government offices, so all the officers working in the department should register their attendance in the Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance Control System (AEBAS). This order has been issued by DoPT.
It is now mandatory for central employees to come to the office and the old system of attendance has also been implemented. The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has reintroduced the Biometric Attendance system for office attendance for every employee of the Ministries and Departments of the Central Government. Along with this, the system of working from home has been stopped.
Must be present in this system
The DoPT, citing the Office Memorandum dated January 31, 2022, said that since the biometric attendance has started, all the officers working in the department should register their attendance in the Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance Control System (AEBAS).
Attendance was reduced by 50 percent
It has also been said in the new order that while registering their presence in AEBAS, all the officers will follow the prescribed measures to prevent the spread of corona virus (Covid 19). Explain that during the third phase of the corona epidemic, the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions had issued instructions to all central ministries and departments to reduce the attendance of employees in the office by 50 percent.
These measures have to be taken
Officers and staff are to strictly adhere to COVID-appropriate practices such as frequent hand washing, sanitisation, wearing of face masks, wearing of face covers and social distancing at all times. Earlier pregnant women employees and differently-abled employees were exempted from attending offices, while government employees below the level of Under Secretary were limited to 50 per cent attendance and the remaining 50 per cent were working from home. During that time employees were asked to be available through telephone and other electronic means while working from home.
