After the situation normalized after the Corona epidemic, major IT companies are now emphasizing on work from office instead of work from home. Companies are currently adopting the hybrid model.

New Delhi . After the Corona epidemic crisis in the country, now the situation is improving a lot. In view of this, various companies are encouraging their employees to come to the office in a phased manner. In this episode, leading IT companies like Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Infosys are also encouraging their employees to come to the office instead of work from home. Let us know what are the plans of major IT companies for this:

Infosys Planning

Infosys has started calling employees to office from this month. Till now only senior employees are coming to the office. After the announcement of the fourth quarter results of FY22, Nilanjan Roy, Chief Financial Officer (CEO) of Infosys told media persons that at present 95 per cent of the workforce is working remotely, while only 5 per cent of senior officers are coming to the offices.

He told that the company has a three-phase plan on work from home. Roy said, “We have started the first phase in April. Under this, people who are at their home location where Development Centers (DCs) are located or who are in suburban city close to development centers are being encouraged to come to office twice a week.

Regarding the second phase, he said that the company will motivate the employees living away from the development centers to come to the base development center in the next few months and prepare for work. However, Roy clarified that it is based on personal circumstances etc. He said, “After a long period of time, we are seeing a hybrid model in action, which is based on client, regulatory obligations and other considerations. We are reviewing it on a quarterly basis.”

Model of TCS

TCS is also motivating the employees to come back to the office. The company said that it is committed to adopt the 25X25 model. Under this model, the company would require only one-fourth of the employees to come to the office at any given time. This means that not more than 25 percent of TCS employees will need to spend time in the office. TCS said, “An important part of the journey of the 25/25 model is to first bring employees into the office and gradually transition to the hybrid work model.”

HCL preparation

IT company HCL Tech said, “The safety and well-being of employees and their families are among our top priorities. We are also committed to keep our business simple so that our customers can get uninterrupted services. We are currently monitoring the situation and will continue to work in the hybrid model.”
