Work From Home: The Chief Minister also said that the work culture has changed a lot during the COVID-19 pandemic and technology has made the concept of working from home easier.
Work From Home: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has said that his government is working on a policy and plan to provide work from home to women across the state. Naidu said that his government is planning to implement work from home policies for women across the state on a large scale under the Information Technology (IT) and Global Competence Center (GCC) Policy 4.0. However, he did not say when these plans will come into effect.
In a post on social media platform X, Naidu greeted women and girls working in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) sector on the occasion of International Day of Women and Girls in Science. He tweeted, “Today, we celebrate their achievements and commit ourselves to provide them equal and full access to growth opportunities in these fields.” It is clear from the CM’s post that such women can avail the benefit of this facility who are working in the field of technology, mathematics and science.
Andhra Pradesh is planning “Work From Home” in a big way, especially for women.

The TDP leader also said that the work culture has changed significantly during the COVID-19 pandemic and technology has made the concept of “work from home” seamless. “Concepts such as remote work, coworking spaces (CWS) and neighbourhood workspaces (NWS) can empower businesses and employees to create flexible, productive work environments,” Naidu said.
“Such initiatives can also help us create a better work-life balance. Hence, we plan to leverage these to bring about meaningful change in Andhra Pradesh. The Andhra Pradesh IT and GCC Policy 4.0 is a game-changing step in that direction. We are providing incentives to developers to set up IT offices in every city/town/mandal and supporting IT/GCC firms to create jobs at the grassroots level,” he added.
Naidu hoped that these initiatives will also help promote greater participation of women in the workforce, who can benefit through flexible remote/hybrid work options. Let us tell you that there is no such nationwide work from home policy in the country yet, but in some specific companies and sectors, employees are still working from home.
