Discussion on the assembly elections in cabinet detail?

After the arrival of Yogi Adityanath in Delhi and meeting other central leaders apart from PM Modi, many kinds of speculations are being made. While on the one hand it is being told that this meeting has taken place regarding the expansion in the UP cabinet, on the other hand it is also coming to the fore that the BJP has started a great churning for the next year’s Vidhan Sabha elections. However, nothing has been officially disclosed by the party.

Cabinet expansion speculation intensifies

After Adityanath’s sudden arrival in Delhi and meeting the central leaders, the speculation of cabinet expansion in the state has once again intensified. These speculations were further strengthened when sources claimed that JP Nadda met Prime Minister Modi and former Union minister Jitin Prasada, who had joined the BJP a day earlier, met Chief Minister Adityanath. No official information was given about the meeting between Nadda and the Prime Minister, but Jitin Prasada termed his meeting with the Chief Minister as a courtesy call.

These leaders can get a place in the cabinet

AK Sharma, a former administrative officer and member of the Legislative Council, who recently joined the BJP, is also in Delhi. Sources say that he met some central leaders of the party. AK Sharma is considered close to Prime Minister Modi. BJP leaders or senior party functionaries did not give any official information about this round of meetings, but sources claimed that this exercise is about the induction of some other leaders including Jitin Prasad and AK Sharma in the Uttar Pradesh government. Jitin Prasad is from a well-known Brahmin family of the state, while AK Sharma belongs to Bhumihar fraternity.

The state in-charge had reviewed the preparations of the party for the elections
Just a few days ago, BJP’s National General Secretary (Organisation) BL Santosh and the party’s state in-charge Radha Mohan Singh had visited Lucknow and reviewed the party’s preparations for the next year’s Legislative Assembly elections. Both the leaders had met the state government ministers and key officials of the organization during this period.

Yogi Adityanath-Amit Shah’s meeting lasted one and a half hours

After meeting Amit Shah, Yogi Adityanath tweeted and said, ‘Today, met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi and received his guidance. Hearty thanks to the Home Minister for giving his valuable time for the visit. Along with this tweet, he also shared a photo, in which he is seen handing over a copy of the ‘Solution of Migrant Crisis’ report to Amit Shah. According to sources, during the meeting with Shah, which lasted for about one and a half years, Adityanath also discussed other political issues including the second wave of Covid-19 in the state.

Trying to woo allies?

Apna Dal President and former Union Minister Anupriya Patel also reached Shah’s residence when Amit Shah and Adityanath’s meeting was going on. Amit Shah tweeted and informed about the meeting with Adityanath and Patel and also shared pictures. Nishad Party President Sanjay Kumar Nishad of Uttar Pradesh and Sant Kabirnagar MP Praveen Nishad also met Amit Shah. Amit Shah’s meeting with Patel and Nishad Party leaders is being seen as an attempt by the BJP to woo allies ahead of the upcoming assembly elections.
