Yogi government does not take out ‘tajiya, nor procession of Muharram’, ban all religious ceremonies, political movements immediately

According to the new order, all kinds of processions and tableaux will also be banned in the state. It was told that this ban has been imposed because anti-social elements can try to spoil law and order and communal harmony.




The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to ban public ceremonies, religious events and political meetings in the state by 30 September in view of the rising outbreak of Corona virus epidemic. Additional Chief Home Secretary Avnish Kumar Awasthi has issued an order in this regard.
According to the new order, all kinds of processions, tazias and tableaux will also be banned in the state. It was told that this ban has been imposed because anti-social elements can try to spoil law and order and communal harmony. However, there will be no restriction on statues and crowns in homes. Apart from all the district officers and police officers of the state, a copy of the new order has also been sent to the police commissioners, ADG zone and IG-DIG range officers. In this, instructions have also been given to strengthen the security system of all religious places of the state.




The order specifically asked to pay special attention to the safety of Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Mathura, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Area Ayodhya, Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Varanasi and the historical site Taj Mahal. Apart from this, instructions have also been given to keep a close watch on anti-social elements in the state.



It is noteworthy that in the Corona period, the UP administration is also strictly involved in following the lockdown guidelines. Action is being taken against those who violate the rules. In order to ensure compliance of Section 144 and lockdown applicable in District Gautam Budh Nagar due to Kovid-19, on Monday, police registered six cases and arrested 15 people during the investigation.



Pankaj Kumar, media in-charge of Police Commissioner Alok Singh said that Section 144 and lockdown is going on in Gautam Budh Nagar district due to Kovid-19 epidemic. He said that on Monday, police investigated 4936 vehicles and deducted challans of 1936 vehicles. He said 10 vehicles were seized. He said that police has collected Rs 2,47,800 as mitigation fee.
