Who can take advantage of this?
Under this, a pension of 1000 to 5000 rupees is received every month when 60 years old. A person from 18 years to 40 years can invest in it. If a person takes this scheme, he will have to invest at least 20 years. To join the scheme, it is necessary to have a savings bank account, Aadhaar and active mobile number.



How to give contribution?
Under this scheme, investors can invest in a monthly, quarterly or semi-annual period of 6 months. Contribution will be auto-debited. That is, the fixed amount will be automatically deducted from your account and deposited in your pension account.

How will your contribution be determined?
How much the amount will be deducted will depend on how much pension you want after retirement. For taking pension from 1 to 5 thousand rupees per month, the subscriber will have to pay from 42 to 210 rupees per month. This will happen when the scheme is taken at the age of 18 years. On the other hand, if a subscriber takes the scheme at the age of 40 years, he will have to make monthly contributions ranging from Rs 291 to Rs 1454 per month. The more contributions a subscriber receives, the more pension he will receive after retirement. In this, you will be able to claim a tax benefit of up to Rs 1.5 lakh under section 80C.



Account can be opened online with SBI

If you have an account with SBI Bank, you can avail this scheme from net banking.

To apply, first you need to log in to SBI.

After this, click on the e-Services link.

The new window will open, a link on it will be in the name of Social Security Scheme. You

have to click there.

After that you will see 3 options, PMJJBY / PMSBY / APY. Here you have to click on APY i.e. Atal Pension Yojana.

After that you will have to fill your complete details. In which the correct account number, name, age and address etc. will have to be given.

After that your monthly contribution will be decided based on your age.

What to do to open an online account?

 

You can open an account by going to any bank.

One can download the Atal Pension Yojana form online.

After filling this form, you have to submit it to the bank branch.

Along with this, you will also have to submit a photocopy of your mobile number and Aadhaar card.



After the application is approved, you will get a confirmation message.

After that your monthly contribution will be decided based on your age.
