Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has said that if any household in the state does not have a domestic gas connection, then such eligible family will get the connection within a month.
He directed to provide connections to the eligible families under the Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) by running an intensive campaign.
Government gives subsidy of Rs 1600
Let us inform that in Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) 2.0, a target has been set to provide 5 crore free gas connections and now to provide one gas connection to every household. Under the scheme, the government gives a subsidy of Rs 1600 per connection to the public sector fuel retail companies to provide free gas connections. This amount includes the cylinder guarantee fee and connection charges. The customer has to pay the cost of the gas stove and the filled cylinder. That is, if you are eligible for Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY), then you will not have to pay a single rupee for New LPG Connection.
These families will get free LPG connection
While expanding the scope of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, the government has announced to bring all poor families under its ambit. For this the scope of eligibility has been expanded from the earlier 7 points. Earlier it included seven categories including SC, ST families, beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Antyodaya Anna Yojana and Most Backward Classes.
There should not be a connection beforehand, this paper is also needed
Later, such families have also been included in the scheme who do not have any two-wheeler or four-wheeler, family should have ration card and members should have Aadhaar card. There should be no connection already. The scheme has been expanded with such new norms.
Jal Jeevan Mission
In the meeting, Khattar reviewed the various schemes of the Central and Haryana Government in detail. Khattar presided over the meeting. Khattar also said that under the Jal Jeevan Mission, the work of providing drinking water connection to every household of every village would be completed before November 1, 2021.
Land for AIIMS
Later, after presiding over another meeting, Khattar told reporters that around 200 acres of land is required for the construction of All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Rewari district. Out of this, about 140 acres of land has been purchased after necessary negotiations with private landowners.
