Use of PAN card is very important in the banking world. PAN card is a document through which many bank related transactions are done. Apart from this, PAN card is also required for filling income tax returns. But PAN card is not required only for these two works, and there are many works where PAN card is mandatory.
If you do not have a PAN card or are lost, it can cause a lot of damage to you. Many of your tasks which are associated with the PAN card, will be stopped or they will be very difficult to do. Know here that there are works which cannot be done without PAN or for which PAN card is very important.

- Cannot open FD or Demat account from opening bank accounts
- Can not convert rupees into foreign currency
- Can not deposit more than Rs 50,000 in a bank at a time
- Difficult to file income tax return without PAN
- PAN card will not be necessary to book tickets for foreign travel, if necessary
- PAN card is necessary for sending children for foreign studies
- PAN card required for buying, selling or buying property
- Can not pay more than 50,000 in hotel or restaurant

- To apply first go to NSDL website
- https://www.onlineservices.nsdl.com/paam/endUserRegisterContact.html can click here
- Here after choosing the type of application, the category has to be selected.
- Fill in the required information like name, date of birth, email and mobile number
- Submit the form after this, a message will come on your mobile number
- Click on the option with Continue PAN Application Form
- Submit KYC here and then fill in your personal information
- Finally, a declaration will have to be given along with the necessary certificates.
- You can pay after that, for Indians it becomes only Rs 99 and for foreigners it is Rs 864.
- After this, the receipt will come, take a print, put two passport size photographs in it and send it to the address of NSDL.
